The Beauty Gal Review: Clearasil® PerfectaWash™

Recently, I was invited to try Clearasil's® latest creation, PerfectaWash™, a nifty little gadget that dispenses the perfect amount of face wash into your hand. Needless to say, I was excited, especially since PerfectaWash hasn’t hit store shelves yet.
Now, you may find yourself asking, “Why would I need a face wash dispenser?” Well, hear me out. How many times have you pumped way too much product into your hand? Your face ends up zapped of moisture, it takes extra time to get all the suds out of your hairline, and before you know it, the entire bottle of cleanser is wiped out clean.
Clearasil's® PerfectaWash™ aims to solve the problem, taking the guesswork out of using the perfect dose. All you have to do is wet your hand, hold it under the sleek dispenser, and a quarter-sized dollop of face wash is released. To see the PerfectaWash in action, check out the video that I made below:
PerfectaWash™ comes with batteries (bonus!), and two formulations for your washing pleasure: SuperFruit Splash and Soothing Plant Extract. In terms of scent, SuperFruit Splash was definitely my favorite! I’m having a good skin week (phew), so I can’t say much on the “clear skin” front, but both types of face wash contain 2% salicylic acid, a known acne buster. (Not to mention the brand is a classic!) What I can say is that the face wash removed every trace of makeup on my face, and helped it feel so fresh and so clean. (Yep, I just quoted Outkast.)
Clearasil® PerfectaWash™ is available with limited distribution beginning December 26, 2011, at Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid and Amazon.com, and will be available nationwide beginning March 2012. For $19.99 you get a starter kit, which contains the dispenser, 2 refills of Ultra Rapid Action Face Wash (with 100 doses each), and 3 batteries. Additional refills cost $8.99 a pop. In the end, I truly believe that this product saves you money…that’s because not a single drop of face wash ends up going to waste!
